Sharon L. Botwinik is an Associate at Lumen, Inc., a management consulting firm specializing in transforming businesses into high performance twenty-first century operations.

Sharon Botwinik focuses on reengineering business processes and redesigning organizations to improve operating results and customer satisfaction. Ms. Botwinik has more than fifteen years of experience which includes consulting to senior management on strategic planning, business process reengineering, change management, and organizational design. She has capabilities in supply chain and distribution, product development, market research, competitive analysis, and customer service. She has worked for and consulted with major players in the manufacturing, telecommunications, healthcare, and financial services industries. She also has depth of experience in working with organizations in transition from union to high performance work systems, from stove-piped to cross-functional teams, and leading post-merger integration efforts.

Ms. Botwinik worked as a senior analyst at Forrester Research specializing in organizational change and processes. Her focus included organizational models, measurement, competencies, and creating customer-focused processes. She completed research which examined the impact of organizational issues on CRM initiatives, developed new prioritization methods for technology investments, and created a new model and roadmap for deconstructing traditional IT into business-focused technology management.

Ms. Botwinik joined Forrester after working for Fidelity Investments for over four and one half years. Most recently, she led Strategic Planning, Market Research, and Competitive Analysis as VP Strategic Planning for the Institutional Brokerage Group. In this role she launched a CRM initiative including business case, scope development, and vendor selection. As an internal consultant at Fidelity, she redesigned business processes for equity, bond, and money market trading desks. She created business requirements for a new bond trading system and assessed institutional brokerage technology capabilities to identify reorganization opportunities. She also led a vendor selection process for a new front end Fixed Income trading system.

Prior to Fidelity, Ms. Botwinik spent three years at Symmetrix, a provider of holistic business process reengineering to Fortune 1000 companies. She worked with firms to improve and create new processes for supply chain and distribution, product development, and customer service. Sharon has experience in the manufacturing, telecommunications, and healthcare industries.

Previously, Ms. Botwinik spent seven years with Procter & Gamble’s manufacturing division. She held several roles including: front-line supervisor, industrial engineer, warehouse manager and global material logistics. She developed expertise in the areas of supply chain management, production process improvements, plant shutdown and start-up, as well as union and high performance work systems.
